In this video there is a heavy use of tracking with the camera. Karen o walks towards the camera a lot of the time in the video, therefore the camera needs to be dollying so it can track her movement. The lengths of the shots are all quite long especially at the start. Mise en scene is created in this video, by creating what's inside Karen O's head. As she goes onto the stage the video makes it look like were in Karen O's head and what she's thinking. The meaning is presented more through visuals and the lyrics create a exciting and upbeat mood. In this video genre characteristics are clearly presented as indie, through what she, and the rest of the band are wearing, because indie video's don't always have a narrative, and because it's amplifying just one band member which a lot of indie video's incorporate. In this video there is a lot of disjuncture, and a lot of amplifying of Karen O. The footage in this video is mainly close-ups and mid-shots of Karen O, as indie music video's tend to just focus on just one artist, rather than the whole band. At the start of this video, voyeurism is used a lot when Karen O is looking in the mirror before going onto stage.
